A birthday poem for Scott:

If it were my birthday
I'll tell you what I'd do . ..
I'd hit up Chi- Fil-A
for a chicken meal or two.

I'd order up a milk shake
and tell everyone I see
I'm splurging for my birthday
this day belongs to me.

I'd give the girls a hug
to let them know I really care
then head out to the golf course
and you could find me there.

Whatever you decide
your day comes but once a year,
so make the best of it
we're happy you are here.


(sorry for the bad rhymes . .. I kind of got stuck thinking about that chik-fil-a for lunch and was distracted :lookaroun

SUPER birthday and thanks for all the well-wishes.

Day began with breakfast at Chick Fil A with Joy (already a step ahead of you, Doug), lunch with the church staff at Cracker Barrel, and a Rays game tonight with Joy and some friends. Rays ended up winning in extra innings. We thought we were going to have to invest in a new fridge today. Long story short--the freezer got turned off inside the fridge door somehow and things started melting. I noticed that, turned it back on, and all seems well.

No complaints from me on turning 49.
