Betty White makes everybody smile, and TV Land is her latest victim.

The octogenarian's new sitcom "Hot in Cleveland" made network history with its premiere Wednesday night (June 16).

The show drew the most viewers and highest ratings for TV Land ever, an average of 4.75 million total viewers. Just to put this into context, ABC Family's premiere of "Pretty Little Liars" drew a decent, but not stellar 2.5 million viewers.(Yes, it's an odd comparison, but it does star four ladies, it's summer programming and it's on cable.)

The debut of "Cleveland" also boasts a 1.9 rating and 2 million viewers among TV Land's adult 24-54 demo, and even stronger rating among women 25-54 with a 2.4.

White stars as the sassy caretaker of a rental home in Cleveland that houses three best friends from L.A. -- has-been soap star Victoria Chase (Wendie Malick), celebrity eyebrow stylist Joy Scroggs (Jane Leeves) and novelist Melanie Moretti (Valerie Bertinelli) -- who decide to stay in Cleveland when their plane en route to Paris makes an emergency landing.

I saw it. I was a little..eh...at first...but then I liked it when they got to Cleveland. There's a lot of chemistry here. They just need stronger writers and it could be a great hit. Do you have TV Land Liz?

We saw it and enjoyed it. I used to have the HUGEST crush on Valerie Bertinelli when she broke through with "One Day at a Time " back in the good old days.

And I had a thing for Jane Leeves back in her Frasier days. I sorta meant to watch this just because she's on it, but didn't.

I do. I'll try and see it this Friday. It has such a wonderful cast. I'm surprised it's on TV Land, seeing as that's the channel for old sitcoms.

Well, it seems that joke around Hollywood is it's the only channel that would take a sitcom starring four women over 40. When you see the show you'll see what I mean.

They have the full episode on their site. I'm going to watch it now. I'm so glad that you can see shows you miss on the internet now. I miss a lot of them.

I love that line in the bar. "And people are eating...and nobody is ashamed."
