I've been watching the development of electric motorcycles along with the TTXGP racing series and things have been getting interesting - though I haven't felt they've really arrived yet.
Up until now, my favorite has been the Zero S:

Which looks fun, but also a bit frail. It might be okay to run to the grocery store, but it seems more moped than motorcycle and I don't know if I'd want to take any real trips on it.
Now comes the Brammo Empulse:

Which looks much more solid to me.
There will be three models that have ranges from 60 miles to 100 miles and prices that range from $10,000 - $14,000 (presumably differing only in battery size).
This one has got my attention.
