Wow, you beat me to it! I was going to post that right now, this morning! :flower
Happy Birthday, Gary! 50, right? ;)
....do you know what he is doing, right now, on his birthday?
Yep, he's sitting here watching CNN discussing the "Coffee Party" and working on the taxes!
Yes, taxes! On his birthday!
:uh
I'll have to see if I can drag him out of here...

:lol Linda said there was a birthday thread here and I was thinking: "I wonder how they know . . . I've just been putting March 1st on things or leaving it blank recently.":dunno
. . . and as for taxes, they're already done but I had to sift through the returns to see how much Linda gets and how much I get.
Trying to read through all that crap is pretty annoying (there's actually a box on there that says something like: If this box ia more than this box and you didn't house anyone from the midwest this year enter this amount . . . :huh
. . . but it is a pretty good gift to have it completely DONE.:circles

Did you really send something? Because if you did, I never received it. I don't want you thinking I was so offended by it that I just wasn't saying anything.:blush
. . . though who knows . . . maybe I would be if I actually knew what it was.:lookaroun

Cool! :thumbs
I'm not sure what made me think of it, but something popped into my head today and I remembered this . . .
. . . and then I thought: "Crap. It probably got lost in the mail and now Christy thinks I'm a real jerk for not even acknowledging it." I feel better knowing it just never went.

Yeah, I will make myself get there Monday, after the crazyness of our last bad weekend is over. :lol Poptarts have a long shelf life, don't they? Haven't I always read that after the apocalypse there will just be the cockroaches, feasting on poptarts and twinkies? :goofy

Well I hope, for the sake of my future mutated, irradiated self, that you're right and I'll at least have delicious Twinkies and Pop-tarts to feast on as my sores fester and my hair falls out.

Wild Grape Pop-Tarts!!!:circles:punk:thumbs
Thanks Christy!
I had just had a HUGE hoagie when Linda showed me the box . . . but how could I resist even with a belly about to split?
They actually tasted very similar to the Concorde Grape . . . but maybe a little . . . grapier.:lookaroun

Oh good! I'm actually more than anything glad you hadn't had them already :lol What a letdown that would be. "Oh, great... been buying those for months now :rollseyes" :lol
YOu know I almost paid $22 to ship them to you :blink All those stickers covering it? :blush They were because I grabbed and express shipping label and didn't realize there were just plain ones for regular shipping :blush She said "Um, is this really important, you want it there guaranteed?"
NOt really, no :lookaroun :blush :rotfl

I saw the "PRIORITY MAIL" stickers slapped all over it, and the value was something like $5.95 . . . which sounded high to me, so I thought "Wow, she really went all out."
I wouldn't have guessed there was a $22 option.:faint

It was a VERY small box.:tongue
. . . actually there were 4 packs of two which was a pleasant surprise and increase over the 3 packs of two that they have traditionally done.:blush

04-22-2010, 08:44 AM
. . . but before you start doing the math and saying: "Hmmmm, Gary got 8 pop-tarts Monday evening and the were gone by Wednesday evening - 48 hours later - that means he ate 4 pop-tarts per day. What a pig."
I should remind you that there were THREE evenings in there and I also, at great personal sacrifice, gave one set of two to Ryan. So I really only had a reasonable 2 per evening.
. . . making this my first evening this week without any.:blink
Damn it! Why did I let Ryan have any?:mad
I guess I can try to stop on my way home . . .

If you share the pop tarts with the off-spring, he will never learn to hunt for himself. :lol
Gary, what's that grumble? Oh, that's the empty space in your stomach that could have been filled with a birthday grape pop tart. Oh well . . . maybe there's a racing gel laying around somewhere. :D

SO true. Give a teen a pop tart, and you feed him for a day (OK, a moment). Teach him to scour the shelves of every grocery and convenience store within a 20-mile radius for himself, and you feed him for a lifetime. :rotfl
