What do you guys think? I read the book, enjoyed it, but I'm not sure about this. :shrug Looks like a Julia Roberts romantic comedy... reinvented, or something :lol

Part of it is I'm just over Julia Roberts :blush

I haven't seen the trailer yet-- but I will say this was not I book that I finished and said "Well, they should make this into a movie!" :goofy

Hear, hear. Everyone raved about the book, so I read it just so I wouldn't feel left out :rotfl. I was underwhelmed.

EDIT Oh, and HEY, I'd love to take a year off from my actual life - you know, parents who are starting to need me more and more, bills that simply DEMAND to be paid, etc. - but that just isn't realistic. Instead of finding the book a relaxing fantasy getaway, it just annoyed the socks off me. Maybe my problem is I just don't look like Julia Roberts. :rotfl

Does the book make you cry? I need a good weepy book or movie. My sister has it somewhere and am wondering whether I should read it.

I cannot remember finding anything to cry about. If you want weepy try A Thousand Splendid Suns.

Not unless you want to weep with annoyance. The last REALLY weepy books I read were "The Best Cat Ever" and "Marley and Me."
